The Stanford-Ranking List (see Table-S7) for the year 2020 (based on citations between 1996 to 2019) ranked Prof. Jinglei Yang of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) in an international comparison of leading scientists in Materials on the position of 1391 out of 177931 authors (i.e. top 1%) from total 6.88 million authors who published at least 5 papers. The ranking is mainly a result of highly cited publications in the field of Materials with multiple balanced measures.
At HKUST, Prof. Yang’s team is aiming to innovate multifunctional materials and composite structures for various applications. He is highly active as supervisor and co-supervisor of PDFs, RAs, PG and UG students and serving the communities in various ways. He is the Associate Editor and Editorial Board Member of a few refereed journals, e.g. Composite Communication (IF: 4.915), Frontiers in Materials (IF: 2.705), and Plastics, Rubber and Composites (IF: 1.543), etc.
